Hyper Proximal Femoral Nail Marc 2
The Hyper PFN Marc 2 is indicated for fractures of the femur including
- simple shaft fractures
- comminuted /spiral / long/ oblique/ segmented shaft fractures
- subtrochanteric /intertrochanteric fractures
- ipsilateral femoral shaft/neck fractures
- The Hyper PFNA Marc 2 offers a reliable and stable solution for treating intertrochanteric fractures, particularly in osteoporotic patients. Its combination of intramedullary fixation, anti-rotation features, and advanced Marc 2 technology makes it an excellent choice for promoting healing while allowing for early mobilisation and minimising complications
The Hyper PFN Marc 2 is indicated for fractures of the femur including –
- simple shaft fractures,
- comminuted /spiral / long/ oblique/ segmented shaft fractures,
- subtrochanteric /intertrochanteric fractures;
- ipsilateral femoral shaft/neck fractures;
- intracapsular fractures;
- nonunions and malunions;
- polytrauma and multiple fractures;
- prophylactic nailing of impending
- pathologic fractures;
- reconstruction following tumor resection and grafting; bone lengthening and shortening.
The Hyper PFNA MARC 2 offers a reliable and stable solution for treating intertrochanteric fractures, particularly in osteoporotic patients. Its combination of intramedullary fixation, anti-rotation features, and advanced MARC 2 technology makes it an excellent choice for promoting healing while allowing for early mobilization and minimizing complications.
- Versatile 3 in 1 system: Hyper PFNA Marc 2 is uniquely designed to offer surgeons three fixation options:
Blade Fixation: Provides rotational stability for complex fractures, especially in the femoral neck and intertrochanteric regions, where fixed-angle support is required.
Lag Screw Fixation: Ensures dynamic compression for transverse or oblique fractures. Dual Screw Option: Combines compression and rotational stability for challenging fracture patterns. - The dual lag screw allows Integrated Interlocking Compression Blade and Compression Screw for superior stability & linear compression.
- “11% slim compare to 1st generation PFNA2 design :
- Small Proximal Diameter of 15.2mm: Fits the canal for better biomechanics and ease of insertion.
- The proximal slot is positioned 35mm from the nail’s periphery, an optimized distance that ensures proper alignment of the blade or screw with the center of the femoral head, enhancing biomechanical stability and promoting effective load-sharing.
- Major Dia 15.0mm in combination of Integrated Interlocking Lag and Compression Screws
- 7 degree lateral offset for minimally invasive trochanteric entry
- Distal slot allows static and dynamic locking using 4.0 & 5.0mm interlocking screw
- Eliminate Medial Migration:The head of the compression screw pushes medially against the nail and unload stress forces of the lateral wall.
- End caps available in different sizes helps to adjust the proximal length of the nail , enable to get perfect entry of PFNA Blade into the Femur Neck. It also prevents tissue ingrowth into the implant and makes removal easier.
