Flexi Nail
Flexi Nail is intended for fixation of diaphyseal fractures where the canal is narrow or flexibility of the implant is paramount
This includes:
- Lower extremity fractures in paediatric and small-statured patients
- Upper extremity fractures in all patients
This system is also intended to treat metaphyseal and epiphyseal fractures, such as radial neck fractures, and is intended for fixation of small long bones, such as carpal and tarsal bones. In paediatric applications, the flexibility of the elastic nail allows it to be inserted at a point which avoids disruption of the bone growth plate.
- Elastic Design: The nails are made from materials that allow for elasticity, which is crucial for accommodating natural bone movement during healing.
- Minimally Invasive: The insertion technique is designed to be minimally invasive, reducing soft tissue trauma and promoting faster recovery times
- Multiple Sizes and Materials: The Sorath Flexi Nail is available in various lengths and diameters.
- Flexural Stability: The elastic nature of the nails allows them to flex under load, helping absorb stress and reduce the risk of failure.
- Axial Stability: The nails provide robust axial support, preventing displacement along the length of the bone.
- Translational Stability: The design helps maintain the proper alignment of fracture fragments during the healing process
