Proximal Tibia

We are dedicated to advancing the treatment of tibia and patella fractures through our innovative product line, which includes advanced plates and nails specifically designed for effective fixation. Our solutions utilise cutting-edge technology, including the Spyrox Patella, to enhance surgical precision and improve patient outcomes.
Our offerings include:

  • Anatomically Designed Plates: Sorath’s tibia and patella plates are engineered to conform to the unique anatomical structures of these bones, ensuring precise alignment and effective stabilisation. The low-profile design minimises soft tissue irritation while providing robust fixation.
  • High-Strength Nails: Our intramedullary nails are crafted from durable materials to provide excellent biomechanical stability for tibial fractures. These nails accommodate various fracture patterns, allowing for early mobilisation and quicker recovery times.
Hyper Interlocking Nail for Tibial Bone

The Hyper Tibial Nail is indicated for

  • Tibia shaft fractures
  • Proximal Tibia fractures [41-A2/A3]
  • Distal Tibia fractures [43-A1/A2/A3]
  • Segmental comminuted fractures of tibia and Combinations of these fractures in the same tibia
  • In certain fractures of articular injuries with metaphyseal comminution or with extension to diaphysis (41-C, 43-C), the Hyper Tibial Nail may be used in combination with other fixation modalities to suitably stabilise the reduced articular surface injury. The emphasis in these articular injuries is restoration of the articular surface, and the nail then addresses the need for intramedullary stabilisation of the metaphyseal / diaphyseal injury, as planned by the surgeon
  • Impending pathologic fractures of shaft tibia
  • Use of a cannulated Hyper Tibial Nail with a large diameter offering more stability associated with the reamed technique is generally recommended for pseudarthrosis, mal-unions and non-unions
Features
  • Multiple interlock options for optimal purchase in tibial fractures with short proximal or short distal fragments
  • Proximal Interlock Options
  1. Two medio-lateral (ML) locking options – One in static mode and one Dynamic locking option
  2. Two oblique hole options, increase the stability of the proximal fragment
  • Distal interlock Options
  1. Two medio-lateral (ML) locking options, the most distal interlock option is within the most distal 1 cm of the nail
  2. One Antero-Posterior option

End cap prevents in-growth of tissue and facilitates easier nail extraction

  1. 0 mm end cap sits flush with nail
  2. 5 mm, 10 mm and 15 mm end caps extend nail height if indicated
  • Anatomic bend in the nail for easy insertion
  • Cannulated nails 8 mm to 11 mm for reamed or unreamed techniques, enabling nail insertion over the guide wire
Hyper Interlocking Nail for Tibial Bone Marc 2
  • Hyper Tibia Marc 2 Nailing System is intended to stabilise fractures of the proximal and distal tibia and the tibial shaft; open and closed tibial shaft fractures; certain pre-isthmic and post-isthmic fractures; and tibial mal-unions and non-unions
  • The use of cannulated Hyper Tibia Marc 2 Nail with large diameter offering more stability associated with the reamed technique is generally recommended for Pseudoarthrosis, tumors, malunions and nonunions.
Features
  • Titanium alloy for improved mechanical and fatigue properties
  • Cannulated nails (from 8 mm to 11 mm) for reamed or unreamed techniques, enabling nail insertion over guide wire
  • All 2.0 mm or 3.0 mm ball-tipped guide wires may be removed through the nail and insertion handle assembly (no exchange tube required)
