SPYROX Distal Radius Plate (With or Without Support)
The SPYROX Distal Radius Plate is indicated for stabilization of intra and extra – articular fractures of distal radius. This includes communited / displaced fractures. The plate is beneficial in managing complex fracture patterns, including those that may involve joint surfaces or extend into metaphysis.
The system has:
- SPYROX Distal Radius Plate 2.4/2.7
- SPYROX Distal Radius Plate 2.4/2.7 small
- SPYROX Distal Radius Plate 2.4/2.7 wide
- SPYROX Distal Radius Plate with extended support
- Variable Angle Locking Mechanism: The Spyrox system incorporates variable angle locking screws that allow for screw trajectories to diverge up to 15 degrees from the central axis of the plate hole
- The rounded threads in the variable angle locking holes engages with the threads of locking screw forming a fixed angle construct at the desired angle. This feature enables surgeons to adapt the screw placement according to the specific fracture morphology, facilitating optimal fixation and alignment of bone fragments
- The plates are anatomically contoured and allows buttressing of distal fragment
The plate fits closer to the volar ridge with rounded edges to minimise soft tissue irritation
- The combi holes in the shaft allows fixed-angle locking screw fixation with angular stability in the threaded section, or compression with cortex screws in the non threaded section
- The plate is provided with K wire holes which enable preliminary plate fixation and indicate screw orientation when using guiding blocks
- The plate is provided with Guiding Blocks which allow guided drilling and screw insertion in the predefined normal angle
- The Spyrox Dura line DR Plate with Extended support provides additional distal screw fixation options which enable support of radial styloid, lunate facet and DRUJ
- Bendable Tabs – Tabs can be bent, in order to suit individual anatomical conditions of the bone
Oblong VA Combi Hole allows for accurate plate positioning in the bone
- The SPYROX Distal Radius Plate has a dedicated hole for guide block positioning screws. The two columns allow for independent fine contouring of the radial and intermediate columns
- All plates available in left and right version
